Document Legalization

Legalization, also known as or apostille, is a formal procedure used to attain legal force for a document—such as an education diploma, certificate, license, and more—in the territory of another country. The procedure is used to authenticate signatures of persons who sign documents and, if required, to confirm the authenticity of the seal or stamp attached. The ultimate purpose of the apostille is to submit a document to the authorities of another country.

For Mr. Ewing to successfully obtain the correct apostille, you must identify the country of destination. Apostlle123 can only obtain an apostille for documents issued in the State of California by the following public officials or their deputies:

  • County Clerks or Recorders
  • Executive Officers
  • Court Administrators
  • Judges of the Superior Court
  • Executive Clerks
  • Notaries Public
  • Officers Whose Authority Is Not Limited to Any Particular County
  • State Officials

Documents

All documents must be currently certified by the appropriate public official or must be notarized by a Californian notary public. Some examples of documents submitted for apostille are:

  • Birth Certificates
  • Marriage Licenses
  • Bylaws
  • Papers for Adoption Purposes
  • Divorce Decree
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Corporate Documents: Articles, Mergers, Amendments, & More
  • School Records: Diplomas, Transcripts, Letters Relating to Degrees, & More
  • Deeds of Assignment
  • References and Job Certification
  • Distributorship Agreements

School Records

Individuals requiring an Apostille of any school records must obtain a notarized copy of the record from the high school, university, or other educational institution, before submitting the documents for authentication.
